Dapper Days at Disney World have become increasingly popular over the last few years along with the dapper style of dressing. The dapper style is being neat and trim in appearance and very chic. I think Disney has noticed that a lot of people dress dapper to Disney even though it is not officially a “Dapper Day”. This month Walt Disney World opened the Cherry Tree Lane dress shop in the Market Place Co-Op at Disney Springs.
I love this idea and hate this idea at the same time.
Cherry Tree Lane Dress Shop
The biggest reason I love the Cherry Tree Lane Dress Shop is that they carry plus sizes. I do not mean a 3x that is really a 1x. They carry true plus sizes in the dresses and petticoats. Plus-sized princesses now have a place to buy plus-size clothes at Walt Disney World. Please take a moment to rejoice with me as Disney realizes not everyone is a size 8.
The Cherry Tree Lane Dress Shop has some VERY cute dresses. They are based on popular Disney World rides and movies. The dresses are retro 50’s style and are very comfy. The accessories are super cute and would add a great finishing touch to an already made Disneybound look. (Related Post: Disneybounding- My New Disney Obsession)
Another reason to love the Cherry Tree Lane Dress Shop are the prices. Accessories start around $25, petticoats around $48, and dresses are around $100. Annual passholders are allowed to use their discount as well, so 20% off until October 1st!
I do love the idea of the dress shop and probably will buy a dress in the future and most definitely a few accessories. What I do not love is that they have a limited selection. So being unique while wearing your dress at a Walt Disney World park is out of the question. To avoid the duplication problem, be sure to be creative with accessories and not just shop at one place.
Wearing the dress in your hometown is another story, people will love it and not everyone will have one.
Along with the limited selection comes Cherry Tree Lane running out of stock. Some of the more popular dresses are gone and rumored not to be back in stock until May or later.
All in all, I am in love with this dress shop and look forward to more plus-size fashions coming from Walt Disney World.
Have you seen the dresses? Which one is on your wish list? Let me know in the comments!
