Best Friends ‘Ohana Breakfast | Dine with Lilo and Stitch

‘Ohana means family and the breakfast at ‘Ohana is great for the whole family. The Best Friends Breakfast at Walt Disney World’s Polynesian Resort featuring Lilo and Stitch is a must-do if you are wanting to meet Lilo AND Stitch.

Best Friends ‘Ohana breakfast is at the Polynesian resort on the second floor. You check in at the booth and then there is a seating area where you can wait until they call you back.

There has been a change since I have last done Ohana’s breakfast. Now the Pluto character meet and greet is outside of the restaurant in the waiting area.

I had tried ‘Ohanas for dinner and loved it and was super excited to the ‘Ohana breakfast and it did not disappoint.

‘Ohana Breakfast Review

We had an eight o’clock reservation and right after we checked in we were seated. The cast member serving us grabbed a plate of bread and led us to our table. The Pineapple Breakfast Bread looks amazing! I tried it, but it was not something I liked because the bread has actual pineapple in it. My husband was more than happy to finish my piece for me, lol.

We were also served some delicious Stitch juice, also known as POG juice. It is a mixture of pineapple, orange, and guava juice. It is so good!!

Characters were already out and we quickly we greeted by Mickey Mouse in his Hawaiian outfit.

Our cast member then brought out the fruit plate. It was a nice selection of fruit and very fresh.

Then Lilo came by and I loved interacting with her. This is one of the few spots to meet Lilo at Walt Disney World. She can sometimes be found at Typhoon Lagoon, during a runDisney race, or during special holidays at the resort.

Next came the main breakfast platter. On the platter were biscuits, waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, and potatoes. Some waffles were Mickey waffles, some waffles had Stitch on them. All of this food is pretty good.

Soon Pluto sneaked up on me and I got a fun photo with him! I haven’t had a photo with Pluto in a long time, so I was excited to see my favorite pup.

Next during the ‘Ohana Breakfast is a special treat for kids. All the characters and children are invited to pick up some maracas and dance along the aisles of the restaurant. All the kids looked like they were having so much fun.

Then I got to meet Stitch. I love hanging out with Stitch, especially if his badness level is a little high. He is goofy and fun to interact with. What I loved about this interaction was the added benefit of a Photopass photographer following Stitch. My husband and I were able to get a group shot instead of just individuals.

I think Disney needs to have more Photopass photographers at the character dining meals. It would be another great reason to purchase Memory Maker.

Overall, I felt underwhelmed by the experience. The breakfast was ok, but not the best breakfast I have had at Disney during a character meal. If you really want to meet Lilo this meal is a must, otherwise, Stitch is at the Magic Kingdom.

‘Ohana Breakfast Tips

  • Reserve Early. ‘Ohanas can very often get booked up fast, especially for breakfast.
  • Travel Time. Factor in travel time to ‘Ohanas. ‘Ohanas is located at the Polynesian resort. You can get there by monorail. If traveling from another resort you will need to go to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then transfer to the resort monorail. Please allow at least an hour to get from your resort room to the Polynesian. If you are off property with a car you can park at the Polynesian for 3 hours for free. You cannot leave your car at the Poly and then go to the parks.
  • Celebrations.  When you make your reservation, let them know if there will be a celebration. I went on my birthday and even for breakfast, I got a cute cupcake with a candle, song, and magical wish.
  • Autographs. Bring something for the characters to sign. They love it!

Don’t forget to come back to the Poly in the evening to enjoy a fun-filled drink at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto.
