One of the most important things to remember in daily health is to hydrate yourself. You are supposed to get at least 8 glasses of water a day. Lots of people buy bottled water. I personally don’t buy water because I don’t consider that very frugal. I went through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University and he made some interesting jokes about bottled water. My favorite one was the one about Evian water. What does Evian spell backwards? Naive! Sometimes you are able to get bottled water at rock bottom, stock pile prices; most of the time though you are still paying more than you would if you invested in a click on water filter system for your faucet.

If you have to drink eight 8 oz. glasses of water to day, then you are basically drinking 4 bottles of water a day because most bottles are 16.9 ounces. Lets suppose you got a 24/pk for $2. 24 bottles would last you 6 days. That is $104 a year not including the extra day per week. I don’t know about you, but that is a $100 I would would rather have towards a Disney trip or something else other than something I already have free access too. You can invest in a Faucet Water Filter if you are worried about the chemicals in water, please remember there are chemicals in the plastic bottle you are drinking from anyways.
The Benefits to Drinking Water:
- Water brings oxygen and other nutrients to the cells of the body.
- It has been estimated our bodies loose about 10 cups of water every day in its normal functioning.
- Water clears up your skin and helps in weight loss.
