Disclaimer: This is a sponsored conversation in partnership with Role Mommy Writer’s Network about the new ABC TV Show Notorious. All opinions are my own.
Grey’s Anatomy, Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Once Upon a Time, How to Get Away with Murder; all of these shows are great ABC dramas. I get so excited for September when all my favorite shows come back on. Now I get to add another show to this list, Notorious! You need to watch Notorious because of its’ all-star cast and great storyline.
Official Description: Powerhouse TV news producer Julia George (Piper Perabo) capitalizes on the notoriety of the clients of charismatic defense attorney Jake Gregorian (Daniel Sunjata). Together, they make great TV and determine the nation’s headlines while attempting to control the media, the justice system and ultimately each other. Behind the scenes, the people surrounding Jake and Julia are driven to advance their own professional and personal agendas, in a world where motives are suspect and morality is subjective.
The definition for notorious is, being famous or well known, typically for some bad quality or deed. (source: http://dictionary.cambridge.org/) I believe this show fits this definition perfectly. Julia George (Piper Perabo), the TV producer, and Jake Gregorian (Daniel Sunjata), the lawyer, are running scandals back and forth during the first episode. I am sure it is going to get more interesting as the season progresses.
4 Reasons to Watch Notorious
- It’s based on real life. The show’s storyline is based off of real-life criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos and Larry King Live news producer Wendy Walker. (source: Wikipedia) If Mark Geragos sounds familiar, it is because he has defended clients such as Michael Jackson, Winona Ryder, and politician Gary Condit.
- Unpredictable Plot. One thing I really liked about the show was the twists and turns the show took you on. You would starting thinking the story was going to go one way and then it changes. I was so sure I knew who committed the murder and then my suspect got murdered. I am excited to see next week’s episode and hopefully find out who committed the crime.
- Strong female lead. Women today are working women getting ahead in life and Julia George is an example of that. She controls her career path, though not honestly. She controls her love life, her cheating ex got the boot immediately after she found out he was hiring escorts. She controls others around her.
- The Steamy Factor. Do like shows that are a little bit steamy? Notorious fits the bill. I mean the show opens up with Julia George having a quickie with her boyfriend, a couple scenes later we see her boss with a sexy male in her dressing room. Hot men, sexy innuendo, and flirtations are laced so nicely throughout this show.
Overall, I give the show 7/10 stars.
Notorious is on Thursday Nights at 9 PM Eastern, right after Grey’s Anatomy.
So have you seen Notorious yet, what did you think about it? Let me know in the comments.
